Michael J Ferns is a Scottish director who has been making films since he was about 12 years old... winning a Scottish BAFTA at age 16!
After school, Michael went on to study filmmaking at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland before moving to London where he has worked extensively in commercials and branded content for some of the world's leading brands such as; Boots, Bud Light, Cow & Gate, Grants, Johnnie Walker, RBS, Schwartz, The Body Shop and Virgin to name just a few.
Since moving to London in 2014, he has also done his fair share of TV broadcast work too, co-creating and directing the Official Chart Show and directing a drama mini-series called “The Dumping Ground - Sasha’s story” for the BBC both of which were BAFTA nominated.
2018 saw a prolific year for Michael as he Directed "Shape of Three” for Grants, “She” for Nespresso”, “Around the World” for Dalmore, "Your Way” for Macmillan and “Happy Job” for Pertemps.
July 2019 saw the airing of “The Gin on Everyone’s Lips” for Boë Gin.
